Dear Donor,

Lions Club of Bangalore Kumarapark, established in 1979, is carrying out various service activities for the benefit of poor and needy for the last 33 years. Our club then established Lions Kumarapark Trust in 2006 and is a duly registered body. We approached Ravi Kirloskar Charitable Trust who are running a Ravi Kirloskar charitable Hospital in Peenya Industrial Estate, 1^st stage, opposite Volvo industries, Bangalore 560058.

They were kind to allot us 5000 Sft of vacant land, on nominal lease amount, in their compound of 5 Acres. We then pulled up all the resources and constructed Artificial Limb Centre of 4000 Sft at the completed cost of Rs.60 lakhs. The project was inaugurated by His Holiness Dr.Sri Sri Sri Sivakumara swamy of Siddaganga Mutt, Tumkur in the presence of Lions District Vice Governor Lion S.Ramachandran, pmjf and our International Director Lion V.V.Krishna Reddy, pmjf.

The first camp was conducted on 4^th December 2010 wherein 84 poor and needy people were screened but only 54 were provided with artificial leg. Rest all the cases needed surgical corrections and were directed to specialized hospitals in Bangalore. The centre is well equipped with required men materials and machinery to serve the needy. We are, therefore, in better position to serve the poor throughout the coming years. The camps are conducted essentially to create awareness in the public.

The Lions Kumarapark Trust has obtained exemptions for donations under 80-G of Income Tax laws. The artificial limbs are provided free of charge to the poor and needy people. We earnestly appeal for generous donations in the multiples of Rs. 5,000/- since it is the cost of one artificial limb. Your donation would bring one physically challenged man/woman to be on his/her own legs and start earning livelihood to join the mainstream of the society.
